Amy Pond Aesthetic (Doctor Who Inspired Lookbook)

I'm going to keep this short, since there is a lot of pictures, and I already know this post is going to be a mile long!
I was thinking about what character inspired outfits I would like to do next, and as I was making my way down the mental list of preferably red-haired people (e.g. Ariel, Anastasia, etc) (also, why do they all have A names?), I thought of Amy Pond! While my height is more on par with Clara, I thought aesthetically speaking, Amy was the better choice. So I decided to do three looks loosely based off outfits worn by her in the show. She has a pretty defined style. Usually a slouchy sweater or flannel, mini skirt/shorts with tights, or jeans. As for accessories, there is often a jacket, socks, scarf, boots or sneakers, and in the earlier episodes, a headband. Super wearable for spring in a lot of places! Texas however, is not one of them! XD
Here we have the classic sweater, shorts/skirt and tights combo worn in many of the early episodes. My personal favorite!

This outfit was based on one of the few times she wears a dress, complete with a jacket and scarf!

The last one is more of a compilation of different looks worn through-out the series. Jeans seemed to be more of a staple in the later episodes
Thank you so much for reading! Any suggestions for future posts would be super awesome!

Garden Goddesses and Tiny Succulents

Dress - Target Clearance  Boots - Vintage, eBay  Bag - Consignment shop
Today was a pretty fun day! I figured I would try something a little different, as I wasn't able to do the aesthetically pleasing thing *cough*Rodeo Austin*cough* that I wanted to do. :(
Oh well, maybe it won't be as crazy next March (in my house, doubtful!)
Anyway, as you may be able to tell from the photo above, I had an interesting adventure at a garden center. I've probably not mentioned this, but I'm kinda obsessed with plants. Any type, herbs, flowers, fruit trees, succulents, etc. I don't know why, but I'm the type of person who gives inanimate objects personalities. Like, I would give the coffee pot a personality if I didn't contain myself (i.e. didn't live in a house full of people). Needless to say, all my plants would have names. XD I didn't end up buying anything though, as I'm ridiculously indecisive! I'll have to think in advance next time I go.
Look at the tiny cacti!
It was super nice and warm out, I was actually getting hot in a sleeveless dress!
I thought this was awesome, but sadly I didn't have five hundred dollars to spend on a giant statue!
I think it looks like Pepe
Some of my sisters
I would also name them.
And her. (can you see my sister?)
And obviously her.

That's all for now. I shall leave you with a video of some fish!

Thrifted Teal Boots and Kurt Cobain

Shirt - Savers  - Shorts Delia's  Boots - Goodwill  Bag - Consignment shop

Once again, so sorry for the absence! I've been dealing with some major life changes recently, and am currently going through another one! Needless to say, I haven't been able to be as active as I'd like. Also, since having neighbors move in behind us, I've been too awkward to take pictures outside, since I'm pretty sure they can see into the yard. o.O

Whatever, let us talk about my new boots!
First off, they're teal, which is one of my favorite shades of blue (I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that it goes exceptionally well with my red hair)! Second, they are kinda beat up, which I love! And third, they're from my favorite place, Goodwill! I wore them for the first time today while running a bunch of errands, and have already gotten compliments! As for the outfit as a whole, I was kinda going for a primary color vibe. I've had the bag for a while, and the shirt I got recently at Savers for $1.99! It's super soft and slouchy, and well, it's Kurt Cobain. Seriously, him and young Johnny Depp are my 90s loves!

I literally have no shame.
I'm still contemplating post themes/character inspirations to do. Not sure, not sure. Also, if I'm lucky, I may go to the very aesthetic place I mentioned a few posts back tomorrow. Cross my fingers!

Sad Girls Club (Wednesday Addams Style)

Sorry for my absence. My mom went out of town, and I've been taking care of my younger siblings, which leaves very little time for putting on something worth blogging about! XD But I managed to take a few pictures this afternoon, so that's something.
As I said in my last post, I was thinking about doing themed posts, at least some of the time. Well, I've kinda been feeling Wednesday Addams vibes recently. I personally relate to her way more then I probably should (especially when I'm not medicated o.O). Also, I've been reading an Emily The Strange book, which I'm sure is really adding to it!
In terms of outfit, I actually layered a collared dress from Forever21 over a striped shirt from Goodwill, as I think it adds a little Je ne sais quoi (Sorry, I just wanted to say that). As always, I'm wearing my white boots, because, as my dad once said, "You gotta make it southwest" Technically, he was referring to putting tabasco sauce on his Egg McMuffin, but I personally feel like you can apply that to most aspects of life.
For makeup, I lined my lips with purple eyeliner, dabbed them with some dark purple lipstick (I can't remember the brand, but it's called "The Blackest Berry") and topped it off with some blue lipgloss. For eyes, I just heavily applied mascara to the top and bottom lashes, and then made little dots along the lower lash line for extra emphasis.
And for hair, I went with the classic braids, making them a little bit lose, and pinning back the front pieces for a more retro look.
What character do you really relate to? I'd love to know!

I feel like Wednesday and Emily are very similar, and I to them!
Can you see the little dots?

Thanks for reading!
